My three weeks at Wal-Mart

Hello again today I am going to talk about the time that I spent working at Wal-Mart. I started about three weeks ago, I started working in frozen foods at $7.65 an hour. Basically my job was to take merchandise from the freezer in the back and put them on the shelves of the freezers on the floor. It wasn't really difficult work as much as it was incredibly boring work. The other employees there are all normal people that hate their jobs just like any other hard working person. But last week I got hired at a small company that a friend works at and so I resigned at Wal-Mart. All in all it wasn't a bad experience but I definitely would not want to work there again.

  1. Never at wallmart, but at a smaller company, yes. Supermarkets are the worst kind of job. I don't like interacting with shopping crowd.

  14. I find that a lot of the really shitty part time jobs I've had over the years usually have the coolest employees. It's great to work with other slacking students who really don't care about their jobs.

  15. Well, at least you left the Mart of your own free will, as opposed to getting fired, which is the main reason a lot of people stop working there.
    Greener pastures ahead, D4C.

  17. Retail is the worst thing ever. Good thing you got out before it made you crazy.

  18. Retail can be a good experience if the people you're working with are fun to talk to. At least that's how it's been for me.

  38. Ugh, sounds monotonous. Were you allowed to wear headphones?

  39. I hope you find a better job man, it's cool to work where you enjoy it. I say go look for a job while you're still at Wal Mart, if you're hired at the other job tell them you can start in two weeks, and leave your two weeks at wal mart. Not being between jobs for even a day is good.

  40. Walmart gets a bad rep, but it's not much worse than any other business.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Well, while Walmart may not be your first choice, it can still be a good job to hold you over until you can find a better profession.

  42. A family member works there at the tire and lube express, he likes it but says he would quit if he was working else where in the store

    ReplyDelete
  43. Sounds like an absolutely scintillating job. Maybe I should apply there...
